As part of a % for art arrangement, Middlesbrough Borough Council is developing a contemporary public art commission for a shopping centre in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough.
The direction of the choice of artform has been encouraged by the North East Audio Visual Festival which will take place in Middlesbrough in March 2006. The AV festival is a new bi-annual international festival of digital arts, moving image, music and new media convergence which takes place in Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Sunderland.
