Westoe Crown Village

Westoe Crown Village is a major capital development in South Shields, and is a partnership project between South Tyneside Metropolitan Borough Council, One Northeast, George Wimpey and The Prince’s Foundation.

It is a high quality building project providing housing and community resources, including shops, a school and a number of parks and green spaces.

Sculptor Tim Shutter was selected to create an integrated set of sculptures which will be placed throughout the development.

The works use the theme of brass band instruments, which links the work with the community and culture of Westoe Pit, where the new development stands.
